Once you've downloaded the driver, plug in your Alcatel Speed Touch USB Modem. Windows Plug and
Play will launch: click Cancel.
Browse to the location on your hard drive where the driver was saved and double-click on it.
It will auto-extract and installation will begin.
When the installer launches, click Next.
Read the Software License Agreement and click Yes to continue.
Click Next to install the software to the depicted directory.
Click Next to add the Speed Touch USB to a program folder.
The installation will commence.
The Found New Hardware Wizard will appear. Make sure that "Install
the software automatically" is selected and click Next.
The Wizard will search for the new hardware. When it is found, click Next.
A warning will appear stating that the software is not Microsoft certified.
Click Continue Anyway.
Click Finish to complete the installation.
A Solid green icon will appear in the systray, in the bottom right-hand
corner of the screen. When the icon goes green, the modem has synced.
Please note: If you haven't created a PPPoE connection yet,
proceed to the next step. Otherwise, driver installation is complete and you're ready to access the Internet.
Go to Start > Control Panel and double-click the Network Connections icon.

Click Create a new connection on the left side of the window. If you're prompted with a "Location Information"
box, enter your area code in the field labeled "What area code
(or city code) are you in now?" and then click OK.

The Network Connection Wizard will now appear. Click Next.

Select Connect to the Internet, then click Next.

Select Set up my connection manually, then click on Next.

Select Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name
and password. Click Next.

Enter "Ameritech.net" in the ISP Name field. Click Next.

Enter your entire User Name (YourMemberID@ameritech.net) and password
as shown below. Click Next.

The Setup process is finished. Place a check next to Add a shortcut
to this connection to my desktop. Click Finish.

The connection box will appear. Click Connect to access the Internet.

Launch your web browser or email application to browse the Internet.
