Dear SBC Internet Services Subscriber:
This is your final reminder that SBC Internet Services' email storage policy will be changing on September 1, 2003, and you may need to take action before that date if you have important email you want to keep. See below for details:
To help keep your Internet service running at peak performance, SBC Internet Services (SBCIS) will be reducing the amount of information that is currently stored on our servers. Therefore, on September 1, 2003, we will begin enforcing a new 30-day retention period for all email stored online through your SBCIS account.
| What does this
mean to you? |
You will continue to have the same amount of online storage space per email account (master and subs), but you will only be able to store messages on our servers for a maximum of 30 days. On September 1, 2003 and thereafter, any email that has been stored online in your SBCIS email account for over 30 days will be deleted from our servers.
For example If you have a message in your inbox that is dated August 1, 2003 or prior, it will be deleted on September 1, 2003. Any deleted messages will not be recoverable once they are deleted.
| What should you
do to avoid losing important
information? |
The new 30-day limit will not affect any email that you have
downloaded to your computer. Therefore, if you have email you wish
to keep for a longer period of time, please download it to your
computer before September 1, 2003. For instructions on downloading
email or to find out where your email is currently stored, please

We value your business and apologize for any inconvenience that
this new policy may cause. If you have any questions please contact
us at http://support.sbcglobal.net/legacy/techform.
Please remember to download your important email
before September 1, 2003.
Thank you.
