Netscape 4.7x Email Server Settings

These instructions illustrate the email server setting for version 4.7x of Netscape, for Macintosh and PC. The images below are from the PC version of Netscape. Except for a few cosmetic differences, they are similar for Macintosh.

• In your Netscape 4.7x browser, select the Edit menu.
• From this menu, choose Preferences.
     Click here for an example.
• Select Mail Servers under Mail & Newsgroups, then click Edit.

• Choose the POP tab.
     Click here for an example.
• Verify that the box next to Leave messages on server is not checked.
     Click here for an example.
• Click OK to exit the menu.
