Payment Terms

In addition to the terms and conditions of your SNET Internet Access Agreement, all SNET Internet Service Payment Options and access charges are subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. SNET All Distance Payment Options.

In order to qualify for the SNET All Distance Payment Options you must be an SNET All Distance customer ("SNET All Distance Customer"). "SNET All Distance Customer" shall mean anyone who maintains a billed local telephone number that is subscribed in their name to SNET All Distance for "1 + area code + number" long distance dialing for intrastate, interstate, and international calls from a home or business and is billed to an SNET telephone bill. All others qualify only for the non-SNET All Distance Payment Options.

In the event that an SNET Internet subscriber is no longer eligible for a Payment Option limited to SNET All Distance Customers, he or she will be billed at the non SNET All Distance rate.

2. SNET All Distance Customer Seven Free Hour Payment Option.

This Seven Free Hour Payment Option is only available to SNET All Distance Customers who were valid SNET Internet customers as of 11/16/97. The Seven Free Hour Payment Option is not available for any customers (SNET All Distance customers included) who subscribe to SNET Internet after 11/16/97. The Seven Hour Free Payment Option will be discontinued, effective 2/1/98.

SNET All Distance Customers on the Seven Free Hour Payment Option are allowed only one (1) individual Seven (7) Free Hour account per qualifying billed local telephone number presubscribed to SNET All Distance. SNET All Distance Customers on the Seven Free Hour Payment Option must use the SNET Internet Service for at least (1) hour in any two (2) month period, otherwise SNET may immediately terminate your account.

2. Unlimited Usage Payment Options.

Use of any of the SNET Internet Unlimited Usage Payment Options shall mean that the basic monthly rate of your chosen Unlimited Usage Payment Option shall not be impacted by your amount of usage of the SNET Internet Service (including your failure to use the SNET Internet Service in any given month or months). However, use of the Unlimited Usage Payment Option does not mean that you may leave your computer unattended and continuously connected to SNET Internet. You agree that you will remain connected to SNET Internet only during periods when you are actively engaged in using the SNET Internet Service. You agree that you will remain connected to the SNET Internet Service only for reasonable periods of use of the SNET Internet Service. You will be temporarily disconnected after approximately fifteen (15) minutes of inactivity. You may not generate communications using the SNET Internet Service for the purpose of defeating such temporary disconnections. You may not configure your computer so as to permit any other computer to access the SNET Internet Service. If SNET determines, in its sole discretion, that you are in violation of any provision in this paragraph, SNET may immediately terminate your account. Only one user may be connected to the SNET Internet Service for any single Unlimited Usage Payment Option account at any time. In the event that more than one user is connected to an SNET Internet Unlimited Usage Payment Option account at any time, SNET may immediately terminate your account and/or charge your account with the non SNET All Distance customer Unlimited Usage Payment Option rate for each such simultaneous user.

3. Modification of SNET Internet Service Payment Options.

SNET reserves the right to modify or discontinue any SNET Internet Service Payment Option at any time.
