In the past, SNET Internet has distributed the Netscape 3.01 browser as part of its simple-to-install setup package for new subscribers. As of July 1, 2000, our distribution package for new customers includes Internet Explorer 5 with an optional installation of Netscape Communicator 4.61. However, any browser should work fine with your SNET connection.

For those customers still using the SNET distribution of software containing Netscape 3.01, we now offer a downloadable upgrade to Netscape 4.61. This upgrade is available only via download at this time to subscribers using earlier versions of SNET Netscape software. The download and installation instructions are available through SNET Internet Personal Options at https://options.snet.net/snet/. You must log into Personal Options to obtain the download.

We recommend that new users stick with our software distribution package and become comfortable with using it to explore the World Wide Web and downloading and installing files. The download that we are making available is specifically for existing customers with Netscape 3.01 who have NOT upgraded on their own as newer versions of Netscape became available. It is not for subscribers who are using our Internet Explorer package.
